Report says solar panels and advanced building construction among "fastest growing" U.S. industries
LA Times // Apr 19, 2012A new report released by IBISWorld has listed solar panel manufacturing and advanced building construction as two of the fastest growing U.S. industries. The report measures industries based on their "contributions to the economy, revenue growth, and expected future performance." According to the LA Times, advanced building construction is expected to grow 22.8% annually, and solar panel makers have been riding a wave of increased consumer interest in advanced energy:
Solar panel makers such as SunPower Inc. have seen revenue grow an average of 3.3% a year from 2002 to 2012… Solar panel sales are expected to grow 9.4% this year and then 8.2% each year in the future, according to IBISWorld.
