Ameresco sees profits in advanced energy services

The Boston Globe // Sep 13, 2012

While other "flashier" advanced energy technologies are making headlines, Ameresco, founded in 2000, has been growing and profiting on the relatively low-key business of energy efficiency. Amaresco represents more than 11% of the $6 billion energy services industry. The Boston Globe reports:

“Ameresco isn’t sexy,” said Zach Larkin, an analyst at Stephens Inc., an investment bank in Little Rock, Ark. “Ameresco and others like it are more about blocking and tackling their way to energy reduction. It’s not glamorous, but it’s simple and very effective.”
