Sungevity, based in California, announced that it would expand operations to Australia where it will partner with Australia-based installer Nickel Energy to launch Sungevity Australia. Sungeivity, which was founded in Sydney but relocated operations to California, will offer consumers a power purchase agreement. Forbes reports:

“We’re taking advantage of the high and increasing electricity rates in Sydney, Brisbane and other cities,” says Danny Kennedy, Sungevity’s president and co-founder… Kennedy would not disclose the financial terms of the Australian joint venture but says Sungevity has taken “a significant minority stake.”
