by

Last month AEEI released an advanced energy employment survey for the state of Iowa, catologuing the number of firms and employees delivering energy efficiency, advanced fuels, wind power, and other facets of the advanced energy industry. The Dubuque Telegraph Herald reports (subscription required):

More than 1,300 advanced energy jobs could be added in Iowa next year, according to a survey recently released by Advanced Energy Economy Institute.

Rick Dickinson, president and CEO of Greater Dubuque Development Corp., said Iowa has long been considered a leader in renewable energy based on its location and weather, which have helped jump-start the state's wind industry.
