BLOOMBERG CITES AEE IN COVERAGE OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY'S PROPOSED CARBON REGULATIONS

As Bloomberg reports, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce released an economic impact study showing that the Environmental Protection Agency's proposal to cut carbon dioxide emissions from power plants could result in a loss of jobs in the coal industry. The article also presents a contrasting view from AEE.

“We see EPA’s carbon rules as a huge opportunity to modernize our grid, and that will help the economy overall,” said Malcolm Woolf, the senior vice president for government affairs at Advanced Energy Economy, a business group that represents lower-carbon power suppliers and efficiency companies. “We see this as a real opportunity.”
