EnerVault and NORAM announce new batteries

Energy storage system manufacturer, EnerVault and engineering and process design firm NORAM have announced a collaborative agreement to scale production and commercialize EnerVault's iron-chromium redox flow batteries. The battery will begin operation in Spring 2014.

"With NORAM's expertise in system design for simplicity, reliability and safety, we expect EnerVault's long-duration, grid-scale energy storage systems to meet the capital cost and energy delivery cost targets established by the U.S. Department of Energy," said Jim Pape, EnerVault CEO.
