EPA calls for power plants to cut down carbon emissions by 30 percent from 2005 levels by 2030

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with the backing of the Obama Administration has proposed new regulations to help power plants cut down carbon emissions. The goal is to cut down emissions by 30 percent from 2005 levels by 2030. The 30 percent figure is just an average, and individual states would have different requirements for how much they would have to slash their pollution levels. Read more here.
