AEE Reacts to
Gov. Brown's Executive Order on Zero-Emissions Vehicles for California

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 26, 2018 — Today, Advanced Energy Economy reacted in strong support of Governor Brown's Executive Order to boost the supply of zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) and charging and refueling stations in California. The order signed today implements the Governor's call for a new target of 5 million ZEVs in California by 2030 and expanded vehicle charging infrastructure, announced in his State of the State address yesterday.

“Following the tremendous leadership shown on advanced energy and transportation issues in his final State of the State address, Gov. Brown today issued an executive order outlining his vision for the next decade and beyond,” said Amisha Rai, Senior Director of California Policy at national business group Advanced Energy Economy. “We applaud the Governor’s order to establish a firm financial foundation for long-term support of vehicle electrification across the range of sizes and types as well as his directive to greatly expand the network of electric vehicle charging stations and hydrogen refueling stations.”
